STATIC QR WORKSHOP
Pix QR Code Generator
Turn your Pix key into a QR code that any Brazilian banking app can pay: add your name and city, an amount if you like, and print it for the counter, a poster or an invoice. The code is built in your browser following the Banco Central do Brasil format.
- CPF, CNPJ, phone, e-mail or random key
- Optional amount
- Check digits verified
- Nothing uploaded
What this code does
A Pix QR code tells the payer's banking app where to send money. Scanning it opens a Pix payment to your key with your name, and the amount filled in if you added one. The payer confirms in their own app; the money goes straight from their account to yours. QR Meadow only writes the request: it never sees a payment, and the code contains nothing but the data you enter.
This is a static Pix code, the kind defined in section 2.6 of the Banco Central do Brasil's “Manual de Padrões para Iniciação do Pix” (version 2.10.0, checked 24 October 2026). The same code can be paid any number of times, which suits a shop counter, a stall, a donation poster or a bill you send to many people. Dynamic codes, which carry a link to a payment created in your bank's system, can only be made by your bank or payment provider.
How to fill it in
- Key type and Pix key. Choose the type and type the key exactly as it is registered: a CPF (11 digits) or CNPJ (14 characters, including the new letter-and-digit format), your mobile number, an e-mail address, or the random key your bank created. CPF and CNPJ are checked against their check digits; a mobile number is written in the international form +55 with the area code, as the manual requires, so
(61) 91234-5678becomes+5561912345678. - Recipient name and city. The BR Code standard (Manual do BR Code, version 2.0.1) allows at most 25 characters for the name and 15 for the city, using plain letters. Accents are removed automatically, so São Paulo becomes Sao Paulo.
- Amount (optional). Leave it empty and the payer types the amount, which is the usual choice for a counter or a donation. Fill it in, for example 25,00, and the payer's app shows that amount.
- Transaction ID and description (optional). The transaction ID is up to 25 letters and digits that come back with the payment, so you can match it to an order; without one the code uses
***, as the manual specifies. The description is a short free text.
Safety: what the payer sees
According to the Pix manual, the payer's app shows the name registered for the Pix key at the Banco Central's directory, not the name written in the QR code. That protects payers: before confirming, they see who really receives the money. Tell your customers to check that name, and check it yourself with a small test payment before you print a large batch.
A printed Pix code can be covered by a sticker with someone else's key. Place it where you can see it, check it from time to time, and do not leave codes unattended in public places.
Check digits
Every Pix code ends with four check characters: a CRC-16 of everything before it, calculated as the BR Code manual prescribes (polynomial 1021, initial value FFFF). A banking app rejects a code whose check does not match. QR Meadow's output reproduces the example codes of both official manuals exactly, and the QR code scanner warns when a Pix code it reads has a wrong check.
Printing tips
- Keep the code at least 2 cm wide and larger for anything read from a distance; the size guide explains why.
- Strong contrast scans best. A logo is possible, but test the printed code with two or three banking apps before you use it.
- Print your Pix key and name next to the code, so people can still pay if the camera has trouble.
Questions
Is a static Pix QR code free?
Making the code here is free and needs no account. Whether receiving Pix payments costs anything depends on your bank and account type.
Which key types can I use?
CPF, CNPJ (including the new alphanumeric CNPJ), a Brazilian mobile number, an e-mail address or the random key your bank created.
Should I set an amount?
Only if every payer pays the same amount, such as a fixed-price item or a bill. Leave it empty for a counter, tips or donations; the payer then types the amount.
Why were the accents removed from my name?
The BR Code standard allows only plain letters, digits and basic punctuation in the name and city, so accents are removed. Payers see the name registered with your Pix key in their app anyway.
Can this code expire?
No. A static Pix code contains your key and the other data directly. It works as long as the key stays registered to your account; if you delete or change the key, the printed code stops working.
Can I make a dynamic Pix code here?
No. Dynamic codes point to a payment created in your bank or payment provider's system and can only be made there.
